At Benfieldside Primary school,  Read Write Inc is used for phonics.

Accelerated Reader is used by Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5.  Year 6 use Project X Comprehension Express.

We use Rocketeers collaboratively to develop comprehension. We have refreshed our libraries in KS1 and KS2 and all scheme books have been banded consistently across school.

Teachers also use cracking comprehension across schools to model and develop the necessary comprehension skills.
